Improve 6v lighting Empty
PostSubject: Improve 6v lighting   Improve 6v lighting EmptyFri Apr 13, 2012 10:56 pm

Barry had added this information to another post and so I have copied it to the technical section.

My lighting, still 6v, was vastly improved both fore and aft by Paul Goff's headlamp bulb and rear light cluster. The headlamp is a 6v 35 watt quartz halogen and the tail/stop unit is a cluster of LED's. An added benefit of the LED's is their very low current demand which conserves the volts needed for the electronic ignition. A further benefit is obtained from the fitting of a quartz pilot light which is amazingly bright and useful for daylight running. The whole system is supported by one of Paul's sealed 6v Gel batteries. Paul's stall can be found at most of the shows and I believe that he also advertises in OBM.
