Back in September 2011 we took a group of friends on a 12 night "taste of Spain" motorcycling holiday and thought we would share just a glimpse of it with you all.
We sailed to and from Santander and after one night in the beautiful medieval village of Covarrubious we moved on to spend time in the Pyranees Area; taking the opportunity to cross these awesome mountains into France.
Our next stop was the Ebro Valley where we travelled stunning mountain roads that are not well known to tourists.
Our final stay was on the coast at San Vincente de la Barquera. From here, the Picos mountains are easily accessible, and, although busier, still offer the most amazing roads and scenery.
We were blessed with perfect weather and the riding was just brilliant - breathtaking views, good road surfaces and very little traffic.
The attached photos just give a flavour and this link to our video on youtube sums up why we love to ride a motorcycle in Spain and why we just have to keep going back!
If you have not yet ridden a motorcycle in the Mountains in Spain then it is a must for the bucket list.
